Free vision screening camps conducted by Elite School of Optometry
1. ESO-SN-TTD camp
Elite School of Optometry-Sankara Nethralaya- Thirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam free eye check up camp holds monthly comprehensive free eye examinations at the TTD temple in T.Nagar. This camp is on the third Sunday of every month.
2.Sankara Nethralaya Community Vision Center in Muttukkadu
Free eye check up in the center on the 3rd and 4th Sunday of every month. Address: ECR Road, Muttukkadu, Kovalam Post.

3.Free Vision Screening for school children, Eye Care Awareness sessions/ Career Guidance sessions
A team of optometrist will come to the school with the necessary equipments and do the screening for the children. (Including written prescription for glasses,advice for referral for other eye problems). Schools can make use of the service provided by the Medical Research Foundation by writing to the Principal, Elite School of Optometry or N.Anuradha, Screening Coordinator and Assistant Lecturer, ESO.
4.Vision Screening for Special Children
Separate Early Intervention goal settings ar identified for three months to 5 year old children every Friday since July 2nd week 2009.For elders,Vision screening, Referral for Low Vision Care and Rehabilitation are planned and implemented at the National Institute for Empowerment persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD).
