Dr. Rajeswari Mahadevan,Faculty,Elite School of Optometry and ESO alumnus has been awarded a PhD in optometry. Dr. Rajeswari completed her PhD on the topic “study of Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenswearers for Keratoconus & Contact Lens Fitting Methods in Irregular Cornea’s”. She is the Head of the Department of Contact Lenses at Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. Rajeswari is only the second Indian to complete a PhD in optometry from an Indian university and is the first from an Indian university to do so in the subject of contact lens. Dr. Rajeswari also successfully completed a nine-week PROSE Clinical Fellowship from the Boston Foundation for Sight, US.
